FEED 5,000 CAMPAIGN – EVANGELISM IN AFRICA
- A) EHC Zambia: The EHC team arrived at Mpunde province in the central to conduct evangelism training. Results were encouraging and all 87 participating churches were able to apply what the participants learned about door-to-door outreach. We thank the Lord that they led a total of 573 new believers to know Christ.
- B) EHC Namibia:The northwest and central regions were flooded by torrential rains, damaging infrastructure and preventing children from attending school. Victims who lost their homes cried and complained in suffering. Ironically, the other regions in the country were hit by severe drought. Pray for the team’s outreach ministry to be protected from natural disasters so that they can continue to bring the Gospel of hope to the despairing souls.
- C) EHC St. Helena:There are no Christian youth groups in any of the schools on the island. This has been identified as a potential area to pursue so that the young people are introduced to Jesus at a young age. Pray for the Lord to guide us in how to pursue the initiative amidst potential resistance from school authorities and traditional religion groups. Pray that Christian teachers may catch the vision, being willing to partner with EHC.
CCIS CHALLENGES AND PREPARATIONS THIS YEAR
CCIS faces challenges every year and 2025 is no exception. Firstly, it is still not known if the venue will be affected by renewal works on Orchard Road, but we hope not. Secondly, fundraising is a constant necessity that needs to be worked on. The amount raised last year has been largely depleted after paying off the event expenses and arrears. God willing, we hope to organize a gospel movie screening in the near future to raise funds. Pray for His guidance and the support of the churches and brethren so that this year’s celebrations can continue to be held smoothly.
JESUS – THE ONLY HOPE IN TIMES OF SUFFERING AND PERIL
The fear of death meant everyone hopes to live long and live well. This is especially so in today’s turbulent era of frequent natural and manmade disasters. Just as the Bible tells us: “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (James 4:14). We may feel dejected and helpless about this, but thanks to God’s love, He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for us on the cross and complete the work of redemption for us sinners. By the power of His resurrection, sin and death’s sting no longer has power over our lives. All who believe in Him will receive the forgiveness of sins, peace, and the hope of resurrection like Jesus when this life comes to an end. The saved will have glorious and eternal new bodies and everlasting life. Let us use these three Easter tracts to spread this beautiful hope to the unsaved, so they can know that Jesus rose from the dead to give us the hope to overcome death.
SEHC MINISTRY UPDATES FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT
SEHC gave out 1,058 books and booklets in the first 2 months of 2025 including: Children’s Bible (112) and Gold and Honey Bible Stories (108), which were sent to the harvest fields in Myanmar by Living Word Ltd. Apart from these, many books were given to local and overseas believers and pastors: The Best Blessing (Japanese edition) (400), Emmanuel Comic (183), Our Daily Focus (73), The Prayer Wall (30), Before the Throne of Grace (16), and 136 copies of various other titles. Pray for these books to be used in God’s hands to lead many to grow in knowledge and in the Lord’s grace. We hope more brethren will make reading a goal and encourage others to do so. CREATIVE ACCESS REGIONS DISCIPLESHIP AND EVANGELISM
EHC in Country G: Pray for their national development and for them to open their doors to the Gospel. Let every gospel volunteer be able to enter controlled regions safely, empowered with divine wisdom to share the Gospel with the unsaved. Let new believers long for growth on the journey of truth. Please also pray for the EHC team’s director, his family, and his co-workers to have health and courage to spread the Gospel widely.
EHC in Country Y: Traditional religions hold powerful sway in this country and most of the population live in spiritual darkness away from God. Pray for God to use the EHC team to awaken those blinded by sin so they can be free from the evil one’s bondage and repent before Jesus. We hope the spread of the Gospel will enable this country to come into God’s truth and light soon.
EHC in Country D: A group of youth here are eager to learn more about the life of Jesus. The EHC team has prepared a Bible study curriculum to help them dive deep into God’s word so they can know Christ and receive His salvation. Pray for the Lord to satisfy their hunger and thirst for His truth.
“LET US SHARE OUR HEARTS” AND “THE BLESSED FELLOWSHIP” – EMULATING JESUS’ HEART
Dr. James Yu wrote the first book intended to explore matters of the heart. The heart has since classical times been regarded as the source of our thoughts, will, and emotions. The Bible is the only text that has clear revelation about the heart and solutions to its problems. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, God’s word changes our hearts, and through it transforms the world we live in to a better place. The second book, also by Dr. James Yu, talks about Christian faith, love, ideals, and perseverance, centred around the experiences of the apostle Paul as he lifts up Jesus Christ in the book of Philippians. The author also references many stories that happened within and outside of the Bible. Both books are good for personal reading or as gifts for others. Pray for its use for God’s work.
“HAPPY FAMILY GUIDEBOOK” AND “7 QUESTIONS OF LIFE” – PATH TO A BLESSED LIFE
The first book was written by a team of authors and is targeted at families, including both adults and children. It draws on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ to provide guidance for readers and their children. The second book, by Ford of Jabbock, is a booklet that explores the doubts and issues in life from a Christian perspective. The topics discussed include: Why is life unfulfilling, Why is life unfair to me, Where am I headed for, and What should I believe in life? Pray for their use in God’s work.
“THE SERVANT OF GOD” AND “FUNDAMENTS OF BIBLICAL TRUTH” – HELPING YOU TO KNOW THE BIBLE MORE
Both books were written by Elder Samuel Ching. The first book explores the life of a servant of God through the lens of 2 Corinthians, and explains how they experience and know Christ, be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power, serve by God’s will, manifest their ministry in their lives, and use their lives to edify other lives. In the second book, the author lists the main biblical truths in the OT and NT and explains them to the reader, hoping to help them systematically understand the Bible’s teachings in greater depth so they can be equipped to be the Lord’s useful vessels. Both books are available for sale at our bookroom and we welcome all purchases.
