FEED 5,000 – EVANGELISM CAMPAIGN IN AFRICA
- A) EHC Angola: The number of villages and communities in the country that have never heard the Gospel is overwhelming, making it difficult for the branch to cope with the demands of extensive evangelistic outreach. Pray that the Lord will send workers to open new mission fields here and reap the harvest. The suicide rate among young people in the country is exceptionally high. In the month of September alone, 763 youths took their own lives. Pray that the Lord may help to reduce the suicidal death rate among the Angolan youth and they may deposit their faith in God and hope in Him.
- B) EHC Burundi: The country is facing an increasingly serious family crisis. Many couples who marry joyfully end up divorcing shortly after. Their traumatised children need God’s healing and long-term solutions, as well as human support that can give them a bright future. May every couple seek God’s guidance and rely on His love to rebuild families on the brink of collapse with trust and commitment. Pray for the Lord to use and guide the branch in its Gospel ministry among these groups.
- C) EHC South Sudan: Political turmoil has long plagued the nation. Civilians face dangers related to food security, clean water, and personal safety, and many are displaced as they flee conflict. Constant crises have caused countless refugees to suffer deeply, barely surviving under extreme fear and pain. Pray for comfort and hope for those who are fearful, exhausted, grieving, and have lost their homes and loved ones.The team’s evangelistic ministry among traumatised women, children, and marginalised groups has borne great fruit. Hundreds have decided to be baptised and follow the Lord after completing discipleship and discovery courses.
CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) – PROCLAIMING CHRIST’S BIRTH AND THE GOSPEL
The CCIS celebration, diligently prepared since the beginning of the year, will take place as scheduled on Orchard Road from 16 to 22 of this month. Overseas choir groups from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Canada will participate, along with multiple local church choirs. After considerable effort, the organisers finally found a hotel near the stage and obtained discounted room rates, easing part of the financial pressure. However, the earlier movie and dinner fundraising efforts did not meet the target, leaving a shortfall of nearly $150,000. The expenses for stage construction, permit applications, three Gospel interaction zones, accommodation for overseas choirs, venue cleaning, and more are substantial. United and generous support from churches and believers is urgently needed. Please pray for the upcoming celebration and ask the Lord to use the programmes to proclaim the Good News of Jesus’ birth, so that the moving songs will attract audiences and touch hearts to seek the Saviour. The day of the Lord’s return draws near, so let us join hands with one heart to take up the Gospel mission and rescue souls to return to the true God.
SEHC MINISTRY UPDATES - PLEASE PRAY AND SUPPORT
From September to November, we gave away 482 books and booklets to visitors, both local and overseas. These include 69 English, Chinese, and Tamil copies of True Happiness Can Be Yours, an excellent book to help pre-believers understand the Gospel. We hope many brothers and sisters in Christ will make greater use of it. Other books distributed include Soaring on Wings (120 copies), Emmanuel (90 copies), the English devotional Our Daily Focus (54 copies), Love On Its Knees (13 copies), Journey of Life’s Growth (11 copies), Spiritual Growth in Truth (10 copies), and another 115 assorted Chinese and English Christian books. These books reflect the authors’ experiences walking with God and insights from studying Scripture, helping readers grow spiritually. We pray that pastors and ministry co-workers will lead by example and encourage believers to read Christian books regularly, that their spiritual lives may deepen and flourish.
NEW HARVEST FIELDS FOR CREATIVE ACCESS OUTREACH – SAVING MORE SOULS
EHC Country V: Some printing companies face pressure from law enforcement authorities and are hesitant to print gospel materials. None of the believers have printing machines, so the EHC team relies entirely on God’s provision and protection. The Christmas tracts currently in production need prayer so that the printing company will not raise prices and so that the printing can be completed smoothly. Pray also for safe channels to receive the printed materials and for more volunteers to be sent to assist in the outreach work.
EHC Country M: The branch recently hired a sister in Christ to coordinate evangelistic work in the northern region. Pray that God will guide her and grant her wisdom to convey the vision of widespread outreach to pastors and co-workers, so that more churches may join the effort and bring the Gospel to every household in the north.
EHC Country T: We thank God for guiding the team’s 28-day outreach effort, preparing short-term mission teams and providing both land and air travel expenses. The distribution of materials was filled with the Lord’s peace, with friendly interactions from strangers and churches. The mission team members returned home safely after their service. To God be the glory for all who were saved!
“CHRISTMAS GREETINGS TO YOU” AND “WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS HAVE TO DO WITH YOU?” - COMBO TRACTS
The first tract, written by Dr. James Yu, explains that more than 2,000 years ago a baby conceived by the Holy Spirit was born into the world to save sinners. Humanity falls short of God’s perfect standard and therefore carries guilt in this life and faces judgment after death, separated from the Lord and His glory. Only by believing in the Lord Jesus can our sins be forgiven and be accepted by God. The second tract, written by Elder Samuel Ching, explains that Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus and why this is personally relevant to you. Jesus desires to bring you blessings in this life and for eternity. As long as you believe in Jesus according to your present circumstances, He can save and transform you. Pray for its use by the Lord.
“THE COMPLETE TEACHINGS OF JESUS” AND “THE PATH OF REVIVAL” - UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH BETTER
The first book, written by Elder Samuel Ching, compiles all of Jesus’ teachings in the four Gospels into twenty themes, offering enlightening and accessible explanations that helps readers easily grasp and systematically understand all of Christ’s teachings and their rich significance. The second book, written by Dr. James Yu, explains the meaning of revival, which involves believing in the salvation accomplished by Jesus Christ on the cross, knowing one’s sins are forgiven, being born again, having the Holy Spirit’s acknowledgement that we are God’s children and heirs, being filled with the Spirit, and bearing spiritual fruit. All are welcome to purchase these books.
“MARRIAGE INSIGHTS” AND “MORNING RAYS” - BIBLICAL TRUTH AND DAILY LIFE
The first book, written by Yong Liu, discusses marriage in the Kingdom of God, which is the monogamous union established by God in the Garden of Eden. It explores the divine origin of marriage, the obligations of marriage, principles of marriage, and the blessed day of marriage. The second book, written by Mu Sheng, contains more than 300 selected writings from three of his earlier works, one for each day of the year, making it suitable as a year-long devotional reference. These writings were recorded over the years as the author was moved and inspired by the Holy Spirit in various circumstances. The notes were later discovered by co-workers and compiled into a book. May the Lord use it.
“EMPEROR OF THE UNIVERSE” AND “GOSPEL EXPRESS” – TWIN TREASURES FOR EVANGELISM
The first book, written by Rev. Dr. Dick Eastman, explores the meaning and source of life. Only by knowing the true Emperor of the universe can life’s major questions be answered in whole. Topics include the source of life, truth, hope, and joy. The second book is an illustrated personal evangelism booklet that explains the core content of the Gospel simply and powerfully, making it clear and digestible for all ages. Pray for the Lord to use them.
“NEW BELIEVER’S COURSE” AND “KNOW THE TRUTH” - HELPING YOU UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE MORE
The first book, written by Elder Samuel Ching, contains fifteen lessons, each referencing numerous Scripture passages with simple explanations. Bible study teachers may expand on them during class; if a lesson is too long, it may also be divided into two sessions. The second book, written by Dr. Zhang Yulan, is a collection of sermon messages and personal testimonies intended to help readers recognise the illumination of truth. It explores questions such as whether God exists, whether the Bible is inspired by God, and whether Jesus is the Son of God. May the Lord use them.
