FEED 5,000 – EVANGELISM IN AFRICA

1. A) EHC Namibia: The team collaborated with local churches to host evangelistic meetings, and over 200 people responded to the gospel call. Pray for the Lord to guide these truth seekers to churches or Christ Groups for follow-up, so that their faith can grow steadily. The team is also grateful for a newly joined primary school teacher volunteering her time. She has begun distributing tracts to students across campuses in the northeastern region. Pray that the Gospel spreads swiftly among the students in this town and encounters more positive responses.
2. B) EHC Angola: Despite political resistance slowing down the pace of outreach, the team persevered, visiting churches and ministry partners across various regions to provide training in prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. Pray that the Lord grants them strength to pioneer new mission fields, establish new partner relationships, and launch prayer groups, as well as wisdom to navigate new political The branch completed its outreach ministry in remote villages of Passe. Many villagers who received Christ have requested the establishment of a church, which we commit to the Lord's guidance.
3. C) EHC Equatorial Guinea: Recently, youth delinquency cases surged in the communities of Malabo and Bata. Consequently, the government called upon churches to step up youth evangelism, hoping that as they trust in Jesus, their lives will be renewed and transformed by the power of the Gospel, thus freeing them from the control of sin and criminal acts. Please lift them up in prayer.

CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) PROGRAMMES AND FUNDRAISING

As we enter the second half of the year, the swift passage of time reminds us to seize every opportunity to preach the Gospel and diligently do the Lord's work. The CCIS Committee, which has been planning since the beginning of the year, is intensifying its pace to prepare for the seven nights of celebration from 16 December (Wednesday) to 22 December (Tuesday). Two stages will be erected along Orchard Road in front of ION Orchard and Ngee Ann City, featuring Christmas carols and performances presented by local churches and overseas vocal groups.

As in previous years, Youth for Christ Singapore will set up interactive zones and community service booths at the performance venues, open nightly from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. We warmly encourage all brethren to actively invite relatives and friends to hear the Good News of Jesus' birth. This year’s budget is set at S$350,000, but the movie screening fundraiser in May raised only S$6,550, leaving us far from our target. We hope that during the upcoming fundraising dinner in September, churches and believers will lend us their strong support and give generously, ensuring that the proclamation of the Christmas message can proceed as planned to bring grace and blessings to all attendees. May the Lord personally lead and fulfill His good purpose.

USE AND PURCHASE OF SEHC TRACTS BY CHURCHES AND BRETHREN THIS MAY

Believers ought to live out their faith and actively share the Gospel with relatives, friends, colleagues, and neighbours. Preaching the Gospel is the Great Commission entrusted by God to every believer and an undeniable Christian responsibility (1 Corinthians 9:16-17). In addition to spoken words, gospel tracts serve as literary evangelism. Many have come to understand the Gospel and turn to Jesus simply from reading a tract, proving that its efficacy and power must not be overlooked. Therefore, Christians should not withhold using tracts simply because immediate results are not immediately evident, as it would be a pity to miss out on windows of evangelism. So long as we remain faithful and perform our duties whole-heartedly for the Lord, the Holy Spirit will work, ensuring that no tract distributed is ever in vain. May more churches and believers diligently deploy and distribute our tracts, winning lost souls for Christ to the ultimate glory of His name.

EHC BRANCHES IN CREATIVE-ACCESS REGIONS CONFRONTING EVIL FORCES TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL

EHC in Country P: The environment for Christian faith remains highly restrictive here. Pray that the Lord guides this branch as it launches widespread outreach ministries across various ethnic groups and tribes nationwide, granting them wisdom to execute the work, nurture pre-believers, and encourage believers. Pray also for the protection of new believers and the provision of their daily needs, that their lives may continuously mature within Christ Groups, standing firm in faith and overcoming all trials and tribulations through the Lord.

EHC in Country G: A ministry coordinator from this branch was filmed by authorities while distributing tracts. In addition to facing a fine, the brother used the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus during his interrogation. Although the situation has since returned to calm, pray that other coworkers remain unaffected and continue to conduct their outreach fearlessly under God's protection.

EHC in Country Z: This branch has launched a new ministry tailored specifically for widows and single women, groups that have long been overlooked by local churches. Training sessions for them have officially commenced. Pray that the Lord enables the instructors and the entire ministry team, that through their work these women may be edified in spirit and come to trust in Jesus.

REPRINTING OF NINE CHINESE AND ENGLISH TRACTS TO ACCELERATE GOSPEL PROPAGATION

SEHC reprinted nine tract titles in June, producing 20,000 copies per title. Among these, eight are curated for adult readers, while one titled “God Knows My Name” is designed for children. These tracts contain substantial and robust salvation truths tailored to human needs, guiding readers to discover “What is Truth?”, helping them “Let Go of Worry” when facing the dilemma of “When Will Life’s Worries End?”, and leading them to find genuine “Blessing” and “New Life, New Hope” in Christ. Although death and subsequent judgment are “The Inescapable Event”, we thank God for preparing a way to salvation in Jesus Christ that shows “Life Is Worth Living”. This good news requires our proclamation. May the tract “Are You Insured?” awaken hearts to turn to Jesus for salvation and eternal life. Pray that the Lord guides more churches to purchase these tracts and encourage believers to distribute them diligently as fishers of men. In these end times, pray that more lost souls hear the Gospel and step out of the abyss of sin to enter into God's holy and radiant kingdom.

“LORD JESUS, HEAL MY WOUNDS” - LET JESUS HELP YOU

This tract, penned by Rev. Ong Jiew Yeo, highlights that hardships are inevitable in this world. However, Jesus came so that mankind might have life and have it abundantly. As children of God, we hold fast to His precious promise: "All things work together for good to those who love God". This truth brings immense comfort and hope, reminding believers that God's grace remains closely experiential even in deep adversity. This tract will be printed across the APAC region. May the Lord use it to anchor faith and bring life blessings to many.

“THREE-CHARACTER BIBLE” AND “A WISE LIFE” - LET GOD GUIDE YOUR LIFE’S JOURNEY

The former book, authored by Prof. Wang Daw-Wei, is structured into four major sections: Creation and Blessing, The Fall and Promise, Redemption and Fulfilment, and Hope and Discipleship. It presents biblical themes in the form of classic three-character verses, accompanied by illustrations to give readers an intuitive understanding of scripture. The latter book, written by Rev. Dr. David Hock Tey, revolves around the theme of Wisdom. The author notes that while humans gain wisdom through learning, observation, research, work, and life, God’s wisdom surpasses human comprehension, and the wisdom of salvation originates solely from God. The instruction of the wise benefits people, and the wise who fear God receive salvation. Only wisdom from above can guide a person to live a victorious life. These two books complement each other, guiding readers to take root in the faith while helping them apply spiritual wisdom to daily living so they can live blessed lives.

“SEVEN QUESTIONS OF LIFE” AND “EVERYONE MUST READ THIS” - YOUR GUIDE TO LIFE

The former book, written by Bro. Ford of Jabbock, addresses human perplexities and doubts from a Christian perspective, offering introductory reflections and answers. The book explores issues such as why life feels disappointing, why success is elusive, why destiny feels unfair, and what to believe in. The content connects deeply with the human heart, inspiring readers to seek direction through faith. The latter book, authored by Ps. Samuel Lamb, compiles testimonies from globally renowned figures and prominent scientists. These scientists achieved academic excellence while remaining devout Christians, and their life stories demonstrate that faith and science can walk hand in hand. With a total of seven chapters, the book covers scientific testimonies alongside the author's touching personal journey to faith. Both books assist seekers in finding answers while highlighting the profound links between faith, life, and science. May the Lord use them to bless many.

“NO EASY ROAD” AND “BEAUTIFUL FOOTSTEPS” - FOLLOWING IN GOD'S PATH

The former booklet was authored by EHC’s late International President, Rev. Dr. Dick Eastman. Comprising twelve chapters, the content focuses on deep reflections regarding prayer. These core principles of prayer are indispensable elements for a flourishing Christian life. Though prayer is often viewed as a challenge within a committed life, it remains the voice of the Christian and the throat of the church. The latter booklet was written by Sis. Yuan Feng Zhu. Spanning five chapters, it centres on the proclamation of the Gospel, examining the equipment, motivation, effective methodologies, and diverse strategies of evangelism. The author emphasizes that trusting in Christ not only grants a fulfilling life but leads into eternal salvation. These two booklets are worthy reads and food for thought that address the twin pillars of prayer and evangelism, helping believers delve deeper into the core of the Christian life.

“KNOWING THE TRUTH” - DEEPENING YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH

Authored by Dr. Zhang Yu Lan, this book aggregates classic literature, sermon excerpts, and personal testimonies into a well-structured and inspiring text. Divided into three major components, it addresses foundational questions: Is there really a God? Is the Bible inspired by God? and Is Jesus the Son of God? The author blends rationality with faith to respond to the core questions in people's hearts. This book is exceptionally suited for sharing with pre-believers, helping them discover the truths of the Christian faith through reflection and exploration. Pray that the Lord uses it to bring spiritual light and the hope of salvation to many.

 LOCAL OIKOS MINISTRY UPDATES

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11). May God bless every distributed tract so it blesses many hearts.

1. Philos A/G (Rev Yeo Pin Pin):Mr. Ho has already suffered three strokes and the doctor said if he has another, it will be untreatable. I encouraged him to keep exercising and handed him a gospel tract, sharing with him how Jesus loves him. He mentioned that he needs to consider his family’s thoughts first, but did not object to me praying for him. His maid is a believer and his home is near our church. Please pray that God will open doors for me to have more contact with him, and I hope he will come to believe in the Lord soon.

Today, I met him again at the same spot. I asked how he was doing, and he lamented that he had already suffered three strokes and wouldn't get better. I told him that every single day is grace from God, and that we should live with gratitude and cherish the time spent with our loved ones, and seize the opportunity to accept the Lord. When I offered to pray for him, he seemed a bit surprised but agreed nonetheless. To my amazement, when I said Amen at the end of the prayer, he also said Amen. Praise the Lord, I feel Mr. Ho’s heart is beginning to soften. May God have mercy on him, grant him the hope of recovery, and lead him to turn to the Lord as soon as possible. 

2. Sis Elle Phee: During today's tract outreach, I met Madam Ong. She is a friendly non-believer in her 60s who lives alone with bad knees and can only crawl. She has three sons and six grandchildren, making her well-blessed with a big family. I shared the Gospel with her and told her that Jesus loves her, that only Jesus died for our sins and that He loves us and came to save us. She was willing to say the sinner’s prayer with me and accept Jesus as her Lord, though she still seemed a bit unclear about the faith. May God send brethren to continue helping and pastoring her, so that she may grow in God’s truth.
3. Sis Alice:The residents in today's outreach didn't seem very open to the Gospel and were quite reluctant to listen to us. I learnt that a cult used to preach here often, which was why many residents became unfriendly the moment we mentioned Jesus. Thanks be to God, we still did our best to share the Gospel with six people. Some opened up and poured out their pain and disappointments, while others expressed it is hard for them to believe in a God who allows suffering to exist. May God soften their hearts, heal their broken souls, grant them hope, and remove the barriers that prevent them from believing in Him soon.
