FEED 5,000 CAMPAIGN – EVANGELISM IN AFRICA

  1. A) EHC Angola:Nurturing children in the way of the Lord and leading them to Jesus is a crucial ministry. In June, the team launched evangelism and discipleship courses for children to teach them to know and revere God from a young age, so they may walk in righteousness throughout their lives and become Gospel warriors and future leaders of His church.
  2. B) EHC Djibouti:The team reached out to neighbouring Somalia to evangelize and cultivate disciples of the Lord. By the Holy Spirit, many Somalis repented and accepted Jesus Christ. However, as the Gospel flourishes, so do opposing forces, and the local government has started to closely monitor the co-workers. Pray for God's protection over them and the new believers, granting them peace and safety in Christ.
  3. C) EHC Malawi:The outreach ministry to seniors faces significant challenges. Please pray for the workers who visit the sick and elderly in the community as it is both physically and mentally demanding. Pray that the Lord grant them love and patience to comfort and support the seniors and lead them to Christ's great love and the hope of salvation.

CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) FUNDRAISING EFFORTS

This year marks the second physical celebration event of CCIS since the pandemic. The committee has meticulously planned the strategy to spread the Gospel to the public and fulfill Christ's Great Commission. Due to inflation, expenses have risen sharply, necessitating greater fundraising efforts. The film "Sight" is the committee’s first fundraising initiative this year, and we hope for generous donations from the audience and supporters. Below is a synopsis of the film, which features Chinese subtitles:

"Dr. Ming Wang, a double PhD holder in science and medicine from MIT and Harvard, invented a laser corneal membrane treatment that restored sight to countless patients. He hopes to live as a light that illuminates people's hearts and dispels the darkness in them. Born during the Cultural Revolution, Wang later travelled to the United States to study with only 50 yuan on him, rising from a poor student to become an accomplished doctor. His life's struggles and successes are depicted in this film, which won two awards at the 50th International Christian Visual Media (ICVM) festival in the United States last year: Best Feature Film and Best Picture. The message of the film brings not just inspiration, but also hope, courage, and vitality in life.

The committee sincerely invites you to attend the premiere screening of this film.

EHC BRANCHES REACHING OUT TO DANGEROUS LOCATIONS IN CREATIVE ACCESS REGIONS

Country A: Spreading the Gospel in dangerous places like sheep among wolves, the co-workers were threatened by a knife-wielding man at a village who demanded that they leave immediately. Thank God for answering their prayers in time and sending a local villager to intervene and defuse the situation. Please pray for the safety of the co-workers.

Country E: The team plans to strengthen their ministries and expand mission fields. Pray for God to reinforce their resolve and grant them wisdom in reaching the unreached, especially the elites of society, as people all need the Gospel. Pray that the Lord will prevent the authorities and opposers from intervening and disrupting their work as they kickstart their ministry plans.

Country D: The team is preparing to vigorously promote evangelism in four regions. Many regions in this country still have religious restrictions and remain unreached. Pray for the Lord to guide the team in formulating effective evangelistic strategies to achieve fruitful results in each outreach.

SEHC MINISTRY UPDATES – APPEAL FOR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT

This May, SEHC sent out a total of 501 books and booklets. 71 were sent to local believers, 112 were brought by a brother to overseas brethren, and 318 were sent by two sisters to Bro. Lin and his wife in Kuantan and Terengganu, West Malaysia. Bro. Lin and his wife evangelize to disadvantaged families, hospital patients, and college students through their care ministry and charity work, and these books are especially prized by the college students, nourishing their growth in the journey towards greater faith. The books include: Our Daily Focus (56), Love On Its Knees (29), The Perfect Plan (50), Things to Come (20), Handbook of Truth (22), The God-Inspired Book (35), Parable Stories (21), Choices (100), Assurance of Salvation (20), Journey of Life’s Growth (20), What a Marvelous Christ (12), and 116 copies of various other titles. Brethren are welcome to drop by our office and pick up free books for personal reading to deepen their spiritual lives, or to distribute them and encourage others to read, helping other believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

“YOU ARE INVITED” AND “HOW TO BE WISE” - THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM

The first tract written by Rev Alan Ang discusses Jesus' invitation to mankind. God's original plan was for people to enjoy eternal life, but sin destroyed it all. Modern medicine cannot heal the vacuum left in our hearts despite all its advancements. True peace and redemption can only be found in reconciliation with God. The latter tract written by Dr. James Yu explores how to be a wise person. People are often blinded by selfish desires and short-sightedness. To avoid the consequences of sin, one must stop trusting too much in themselves but instead trust Jesus Christ, for fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This combined tract will be printed in the APAC region. Pray for the Lord to use it.

“LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUTH” AND “GOSPEL Q&A” - ANSWERING LIFE'S QUESTIONS

The first book written by Dr. James Yu explores the journey of youth. We must learn to discern right from wrong, choose friends wisely, avoid youthful lusts, and study God's word to form correct values, so that we are able to do God's will and bear fruit that benefit others. A well-lived youth leads to a successful and fulfilling old age without regrets. The latter book, written by Elder Samuel Ching, aims to equip believers in evangelism while answering their questions with the help of the Holy Spirit, thereby guiding them closer towards Jesus Christ. May the Lord use these two books to help many.

“LOVE ON ITS KNEES” AND “THE HOUR THAT CHANGES THE WORLD” - THE POWER OF PRAYING

Both books were written by Rev. Dr. Dick Eastman. The first provides readers with principles for grasping God's word so it becomes a spiritual treasure trove for their personal prayer lives. The latter book offers a practical plan for daily prayer, emphasizing on influencing the world we live in through prayer. Only in prayer can we fully entrust our problems to God and seek His intervention. Both books retail at $5.00 each, and brethren are welcome to purchase them.

“THE WAY TO A HAPPY LIFE” AND “GOSPEL EXPRESS” - THE SECRET TO HAPPINESS

The first booklet written by Rev Dr. Johnny Lee is a correspondence course divided into four lessons, systematically explaining basic biblical doctrines in simple language. Each lesson ends with an assignment to assess the reader's understanding. Upon finishing the course, the reader can receive a completion certificate from SEHC. We encourage the brethren to recommend this course to new believers. The latter booklet is an illustrated personal evangelism booklet which has proven to be highly effective and popular among believers. We welcome all brethren to purchase and use these booklets.
